Future Balance Not Working

Upgraded to latest version, and yes it looks very pretty but some pretty basic functionality is not working now. I would rather it worked well than looks pretty and doesn't.

Have checking account & savings account with various repeating transactions schedule for the next few weeks in the checking account. Yet the future balance and current balance are the same despite the future balance date being set as 27/01/10.

Have any of the repeating transactions been posted to the transaction register yet?

Go into your checking or savings account, scroll to the end of the register, and any future transactions will be listed in gray since they are in the future.

It sounds like none of the repeating transactions have been processed yet.

You can use Process to Date to and pick 27/01/10 and PM will post all of the repeating transactions that are due up until the 27th to their respective accounts, then you should see the current and future balances as different.

Repeating transfers are appearing and being processed correctly and being added as the correct date occurs. I added a new test debit into the latest version and the future balance ignores that as well.

Also the availavable balance used to take account of the limit set as an overdraft, this also no longer works.

I changed "availavable balance" to "Available Credit" because that's what I original intended it to be used for, but it seems a lot of users want everything "availavable balance" did so I've brought it back for version 3.0.1 of PocketMoney and it is called "Available Funds"

My future balance in version 3.0.2 is not working either.

I have several repeating transactions and I have changed Future Balance "as of date" to include them, but my Future Balance continues to match current balance.

Repeating transactions are not appearing in "all transactions" as grey entries either.

If they aren't getting posted to the account they won't show. You can go into the repeating transaction screen and choose Process To Date and pick the date that you want the future transactions to be processed through. I don't recommend more than a month at a time, but some ppl like to see them posted longer.

Thanks Hardy. I see how it works now, though, I don't understand what Future Balance "as of date" does.

It shows the balance as of the date you select, taking into account any transactions manually entered for future dates or posted by the mechanism Hardy's described.
