MPG 1.3 submitted to AppStore

Postby HardyMacia » Sat Jun 19, 2010 8:29 pm

I submitted MPG 1.3 for iOS to Apple last night for review.

Fixes decimal point keyboard bug on iOS 4.0.

Fixed posting transactions from MPG to PocketMoney that had & in the transaction.

Initial support for iPad, but more coming.

Hardy,

Received your email. I just filled up my wife's car and I still have about half a tank on mine so I should be good for a couple of weeks. I'm going to backup MPG before I install iOS 4.

Problem with MPG 1.3 and iOS 3.1.2
Hello, giong from Palm to iPhone, MPG 1.2 has been one of my first buys. I have been using MPG on Palm since 2002 and was delighted to transfer all my data (successfully) on the iPhone app. Great ! However, I upgraded onto MPG 1.3 yesterday and the first synchro erased MPG from my iPhone using iOS 3.1.2 Since I can't for the moment go onto iOS 4 (professional restriction) .... I'm stuck.... and about to leave on a trip !
Hope you going to fix that...!

Best,

Jean-Luc

There really wasn't any reason for you to go to MPG 1.3 as it's main target was to fix the missing decimal point entry that cropped up with iOS4. However, have you tried restoring to a previous backup? Or you could restore to factory defaults, sync and reinstall your apps, then use SyncDocs and restore the last backup of the MPG database.

What "professional restrictions" block iOS4? I haven't heard of any restrictions except for the original iPhone and iTouch.

Thanks for your reply.
None of your solutions will work for me. I've gone from Palm and Nokia to iPhone over the week-end and even if I understand now the way this thing is behaving, I was a bit confused at first and synchronised many times before becoming aware of what, where, when ... things were happening.
Don't worry, the learning curve has been steep, the nights short but I know now what i should have been doing. I could'nt imagine for instance that a newer version of MPG was needing an OS just issued and still under review by the IT people in my company preventing us to migrate ont iOS 4 before completing their tests and checking thé compatibility with our applications.
I might be considering using the old good Palm for my coming trip.....

Ah, I see. You don't own an iPhone; it is company property.

Hi - I upgraded to the iPhone 4, and got all the app updates that went with it.

I've noticed an issue with starting an app with 1.3 - it's giving me a blank screen and I can't click on my car to add fuel ups, etc. Has anyone else noticed this? Or is it just me?

vovens,

it looks like there is no vehicles enter in MPG. Maybe iTunes lost your data on the upgrade. I've heard from a couple PocketMoney users who's upgrade process to their iPhone didn't go quite right. You can download an iTunes backup extractor and try to recover your MPGDB.sql database file from an old iTunes backup and then restore it.

PS: I need to make a bit of time to do some final testing on MPG 1.4 and then I'll submit it to Apple. I'll get to it this weekend.

Are you using SyncDocs? Have you disabled ALL your firewalls?
