Error message

Postby Rbradley » Sun Mar 14, 2010 7:10 pm

Hi,

After successfully synced my first two visa accounts from my MacBook Pro to my Iphone, i received the following message when i tried to sync my current bank account:

Error reading OFX file: Operation could not be completed. (Cocoa error 261.)

I'm using SyncDocs-0.6.7
Mac OS X 10.6.2 (10C540)
PocketMoney 3.0.2

I think i found my answer, the file i tried to sync was in the QFX format instead of QIF. Unfortunately, my bank do not provide QIF format download. Any suggestions?

There is any chance that a future version of PocketMoney may use QFX, OFX, ASO, QBO or CSV format? those are the download format available in my bank.

Thanks,

RBradley

PocketMoney can import OFX/QFX and CSV. The CSV you would have to format before importing so the OFX/QFX file is best. It should import. You might try changing the File Encoding in PocketMoney Prefs > File Transfers > File Encoding to Western Latin or UTF8.

I fixed a bug related to this in version 3.0.3 that is awaiting Apple approval.

I tried both file encoding Western Latin and UTF8 with the same result.

Error reading OFX file: Operation could not be completed. (Cocoa error 261.)

I'll wait for the 3.0.3 version to see if it's better.

Thank's

You are right HardyMacia, PM can import QFX, The problem seem to be with the language version of the bank, when i download it on the english CIBC web site, everything is fine. If i use the french web site of the bank, for the same file, I always have the the Cocoa error 261. It seem that french characters aren't supported, is that problem is due to PM or SyncDoc ?

Thank's for your help.
