Our site is made available free of charge. We do not guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. Access to our site is permitted on a temporary basis. - VIRUSES
We do not guarantee that our site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform in order to access our site. You should use your own virus protection software. You must not misuse our site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our site, the server on which our site is s tored or any server, computer or database connected to our site. These terms of use, its subject matter and its formation, are governed by Swiss law. You and we both agree to that the courts of Switzerland will have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising from, or related to, a visit to our site.
- TRADE MARKS
Our site contains names and logos which are trademarks of PocketMoney GmbH. Unauthorised use of any of these trademarks is forbidden. Users of our site may print, copy, download or temporarily store information from our site for their personal use but all intellectual and other property information shall remain the property of PM and no rights in it shall be transferred to users. You may not reproduce (in whole or in part), transmit (by electronic means or otherwise), modify, link into or use for any public or commercial purpose this site, or any of its content, without the prior written permission of PM.

To sum up
Privacy policies are quite long and nobody reads them, so, just to sum up the information contained, PocketMoney GmbH (“PM” or “we” or “us”) would like to ensure that it is not in the business of selling its users’ data, and has developed its products and services taking care of the privacy of its users. We generate our revenues through advertising displayed on the free application and through pay subscriptions, full stop.
As general rule, we do not access or collect the data of your transactions, we do only collect the minimum data we need to offer you the products and services, in addition to some generic anonymized metrics.
The following privacy policy explains in details which data are collected to offer our products and services, and, by using such products and services, you consent to our collection and use of such information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Application: PocketMoney
1.1 Transactions
All user’s transactions are stored locally on its device and neither we or other third parties have access to them. However, in certain situations, user’s data could be copied on third party servers if the user decides to use one the following optional services:
a) iCloud: if a user performs a backup of its device using iCloud Backup, or chooses in PocketMoney’s settings to opt for storing / synchronizing its data using iCloud, then PocketMoney will copy the entire database on the user iCloud account, which is managed by Apple. This is meant to give a user the possibility to backup and synchronize its own data, so, as such, it is just an option and it is not mandatory to use PocketMoney.
Information stored in iCloud is not managed by us, and is treated in accordance with Apple Privacy Policy, which is possible to find at the following address: http://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
b) Dropbox: if a user chooses in PocketMoney’s settings to opt for storing / synchronizing its data using Dropbox, then PocketMoney will copy the entire database on the user Dropbox account, which is managed by Dropbox. This is meant to give a user the possibility to backup and synchronize its own data, so, as such, it is just an option and it is not mandatory to use PocketMoney.

1.2 Automatic Transactions Download
Users based in the USA, Australia, Canada, Colombia, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Netherlands, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, UAE, once checked whether their bank or financial institution is supported, may subscribe to a plan which allows them to use an API, a third party service, which enables the automatic transactions download.
The APIs is built and maintained by Yodlee (www.yodlee.com), a well-recognized American data provider, part of the Evernest group (www.evernest.com), a listed American company.
With Yodlee’s service, the user can connect to its bank / financial institution, using its own credentials, and the information is transmitted from the bank / financial institution to PocketMoney App.
We have neither access to the transactions of the users, nor to any banking or financial institution credentials, so we never acquire any personal information from users.

1.3 Personal information
To give access to certain services, we need some information from the user. Here are highlighted the services and the information needed:
a) PocketMoney Free Account: PocketMoney allows the creation of a free account, which is needed to perform actions such as: asking for support, subscribe our newsletter, extending a pay subscription to other devices. To create an account, the user is giving us basic information such as your email, name and surname. Creating such account, is optional if the user is choosing to use PocketMoney without a pay subscription.
The data is collected in our server hosted by Hostpoint AG, and is treated in accordance with Hostpoint Privacy Policy, which is possible to find at the following address: https://www.hostpoint.ch/en/hostpoint/contact-gc.html#datenschutz.
1.4 Analytics
To better understand how to improve the product and services, we do collect some generic analytics. These analytics are anonymized, and consolidated, they have nothing to do with the content of financial transactions, and do not allow us to trace a single user or personal related information. Examples of such analytics are: global number of devices per subscription, total number of users per country, global number of app launches, global number of users per device, total number of users backing up using iCloud, total number of users backing up using Dropbox, etc. The analytics are stored in our server hosted by Hostpoint AG, and the data is treated in accordance with Hostpoint Privacy Policy, which is possible to find at the following address: https://www.hostpoint.ch/en/hostpoint/contact-gc.html#datenschutz.

Our website works as the backend of our application to manage PocketMoney Free Accounts. Although a user cannot directly open an account through the website, it can do so through PocketMoney’s applications. As such please refer to the bullet point 1.3 a) of this Privacy Policy.
Third parties
Other than the company already mentioned in this document, we are using few selected third party providers to offer some additional service:
a) Freshworks: we use FreshDesk to manage support requests and bug reports. A free PocketMoney Account is required to be able to use the support system so please refer to the bullet point 3 a) for this matter, in addition, for Freshworks, the data is treated in accordance with their Privacy Policy, which is possible to find at the following address: https://support.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/50000000206-freshworks-privacy-update.
b) SendinBlue: we use SendinBlue to send our newsletter. A free PocketMoney Account is required to subscribe to our newsletter so please refer to the bullet point 3 a) for this matter, in addition, for SendinBlue, the data is treated in accordance with their Privacy Policy, which is possible to find at the following address: https://www.sendinblue.com/legal/privacypolicy/.
European Users.
Users located in the EU, have certain rights with respect to their personal information:
- Right to access personal data
- Right to correct or update personal data
- Right to restrict processing of personal data
- Right to portability
- Right to withdraw consent if we have asked for it
- Right to file a complaint with a data protection authority
